The Journey of Dan's Inventions (as his wife remembers it)

Dan has always been around the trades. Before we were married 37 years ago Dan's dad was an avid DIY'er. He remodeled many a home and rental units, exposing his son to the processes of construction.

Dan started working as a roofer for a friend when we were first married. I remember hearing about pitches and valleys, the pros and cons of cedar shingles versus asphalt. The paycheck wasn't the greatest, but we got by.

Fast forward a few years and Dan was working for another friend who was a contractor. If I remember correctly, he learned framing at that point. There were many jobs-new construction, remodels, additions...mostly residential but a few commercial.

One day Dan was working on installing some metal joist hangars. He joked around with his co-worker that there should be a better way of doing this. An idea was born!
